What Is The Community Service Order Program?
The Community Service Order Program is a community based sentencing option for iyouth in conflict with the law, to complete community service hours.
How Does The Program Work?
The role of the John Howard Society is to place the youth with an appropriate community organization, business or pro-social program or activity. The CSO Coordinator monitors the completion of these hours.The placement or program is individualized relating to the youth’s assessed needs and interests while encouraging the accountability of the youth. The placement of the youth does not replace paid staff or existing volunteers.
SPECIAL PROJECTS FOR CSO YOUTH
In partnership with local organizations, car washes, yard sales, motocross, salmon derby, Community Day parade and the Old Tyme Fair.
Who Is Eligble?
A youth found guilty of a crime which was committed between the ages of 12-17 and ordered by the Courts to perform Community Service hours as part of a probation order.
Why Does The John Howard Society Run This Program?
